Subsidiary in Nepal

Can we have a fully owned subsidiary in Nepal?

The Companies Act of Nepal primarily focuses on the regulation and governance of companies, including their formation, management, and operation. It does not specifically address the concept of fully owned subsidiaries or provide detailed provisions regarding the establishment and operation of such entities.

However, it is possible to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in Nepal through the incorporation of a private company. A fully owned subsidiary cannot be a public company because of minimum shareholder requirement.
